Electrocardiographs that subject the successive point values in one or more leads of the standard electrocardiogram under analysis to mathematical integration. The resulting values are plotted on a display matrix, which resembles two tangential circles, one inside the other. The area between the circles represents the \'normal\' range of distribution of data; if the curve derived falls outside the limits, the value is considered abnormal. Cardiointegraphs are intended to be used in the diagnosis of coronary disease in the absence of abnormalities in the standard resting electrocardiogram.
