Cardiology data management information systems designed to record, process, and display information related to the clinical and administrative management of a patient\'s hemodynamic status. These systems include hardware and software to collect information from cardiac output units, monitors, and fluid administration devices. Hemodynamic data management systems help physicians establish baseline hemodynamics and manage the prognosis and treatment of patients with abnormal hemodynamic conditions, such as chronic congestive heart failure, hypertension, and during critical care, surgical, or dialysis procedures. The systems may function as stand-alone systems or may be integrated in a hospitalwide data management information system network.
