  • Equipment designed to irradiate patients with light to produce beneficial bioeffects (i.e., phototherapy). These devices are intended to apply electromagnetic radiation of all or some part of the spectrum covering the near infrared (from 700 to 1,400 nm), visible (from 380 to 780 nm), and/or ultraviolet (typically from 170 to 400 nm) spectrum.
