Power meters designed to measure the power output of ultrasonic equipment. These meters usually measure the power by using an appropriate transducer to detect the ultrasonic pressure; a measuring device such as a mechanical balance or electronic load cell; and a display. Ultrasonic power meters are used to verify the accuracy and/or to calibrate diagnostic (e.g. ultrasonic scanners) and/or therapeutic (e.g., ultrasonic physical therapy units).
