Electrocardiographic simulators designed to mimic a set of abnormal electrocardiographic signals (e.g., bradycardia, ventricular tachycardia). These simulators usually can also generate waveforms to check the performance of the device being tested, including sine, square, triangular, and pulse waveforms; some can also simulate pacemaker signals. Arrhythmia simulators are used to test complex functions of arrhythmia monitoring and recording devices and to train healthcare personnel. Typically, they can also be used to check patient lead continuity and alarms function.
