Electrocardiography tape recorders that include chest surface electrodes and an electrocardiograph amplifier. There are two basic type of recorders: real-time and retrospective (according to the point at which analysis is performed). These recorders are commonly used in ambulatory patients to detect transient ventricular arrhythmias, after myocardial infarction, or for detecting other heart origin diseases.
