Vascular retrieval catheters that consist of end-hole catheters, which include a core wire. A set of four wires helically twisted are joined at their distal tip and attached to the core wire, forming a flexible basket-like structure. These catheters are mostly used in children and in smaller vessels because of their small outside diameter; the embolized fragment must present a free end for effective ensnarement.
