Tissue-ablation microwave therapy systems designed to ablate regions of endocardial tissue that give rise to or support cardiac arrhythmia. These systems consist of a microwave generator, a catheter that includes a coaxial cable with an antenna on its distal tip, and controls. Microwave energy is delivered through the antenna to the region to be ablated, until the target endocardial tissue is destroyed.
