Neutron-beam radiotherapy systems designed to deliver a high-energy fast-neutron beam. These systems include a source of fast neutrons (e.g., cyclotrons, linear accelerators), a control unit, and appropriate filters and collimators. Fast-neutron radiotherapy is used in selected clinical indications, such as inoperable sarcomas of bone and soft tissues and advanced salivary gland tumors.
