  • Simulators designed to mimic detectors and/or monitors of environmental hazardous biological agents such as bacteria and virus pathogens and/or toxins that may kill or seriously injure human beings (i.e., biological agents). Some of these simulators detect simulants with characteristics similar to those of the real biological agent. Biological agent detector/monitor simulators may have recording systems that can store error messages showing incorrect use by the operator or other abnormal situations. They are used to simulate biological detectors and/or monitors during training, both for contamination detection/monitoring and decontamination procedures, without using the real contaminants.
