Small filing cabinets designed to store files and/or file folders upright, either parallel or, less frequently, perpendicular to the front of the cabinet. These cabinets typically consist of a metallic or wooden stand-alone structure, including one or more drawers that can accommodate letter-, A4-, and/or legal-size documents; they may include rails to hang file folders. Most can be easily suspended or placed at a side or under a working desk. Pedestal cabinets are usually designed for individual use and are available in many different configurations and sizes. Some pedestal cabinets include casters with small wheels.
