Saws designed to cut hard tissue during autopsy and dissection (i.e., postmortem) procedures, driven by pneumatic power. These saws are heavy-duty, handheld or, less frequently, stationary, powered instruments with a pneumatic motor, a mechanism to drive an oscillating blade, and a hose connected to the pressurized gas source. Postmortem pneumatic saws are usually oscillating saws intended to cut bones (e.g., cranium) and other hard tissue; saws are frequently provided with an extraction unit and a container for collecting bone/tissue debris.
