Walkers designed with wheeled frameworks that provide support for one knee during ambulation. These walkers typically consist of a metal (some also include hard plastics) structure that includes a flat support (usually adjustable in height) for one knee. Wheeled knee-support walkers are used for permanent assistance of disabled patients and/or for ambulation while preventing weight-bearing on the affected ankle or foot by users who have one leg affected distal to the knee (e.g., following ankle surgery) during rehabilitation.
