  • Electrically (usually battery) powered equipment designed to be attached to (i.e., hitched) healthcare beds and/or stretchers to facilitate moving them inside a healthcare facility. These movers typically consist of a supporting metal structure, an electric motor, and a battery; the mover is attached to the frame of the bed or stretcher, permitting it to be lifted to a position slightly above the floor during transportation.
