Human DUX4L10 gene is located in the vicinity of 10q26.3 and is approximately 2 kb in length. The product is a processed pseudogene that produces an RNA transcript, but does not encode a protein product. This pseudogene is involved in a chromosomal translocation t(10;19)(q26;q13) that fuses the CIC gene to the DUX4L10 gene and is associated with soft tissue sarcomas.
