Physiologic monitoring software designed to operate electro-oculography monitors, control/monitor a limited number of their functions, and/or process data obtained while monitoring. This software is intended to work only with one or a few models of electro-oculography monitors, usually from the same manufacturer. The software may perform a variety of algorithms to facilitate the operation and analysis of the measurements performed while monitoring electro-oculography and/or while processing and/or transmitting/receiving patient information from workstations, and/or hospital information systems. Electro-oculography monitoring software is not usually available separate from the monitor but may be updated (i.e., through the release of modified versions) during the life of the equipment; the software is mainly used by telemetric monitors and/or physiologic monitoring systems.
