?:definition
  • Surgical knives designed to cut the anatomical structures of the nose and/or the nasal sinuses. These devices consist of manual, slender, handheld instruments that may have one of a variety of different geometric shapes and sizes. They frequently include a straight, swivel, or bayonet handle and a small blade with a sharp cutting distal end. Nasal surgical knives are used mainly in nasal reconstruction and cosmetic (i.e., rhinoplasty) procedures. Dedicated nasal knives intended to cut the nasal septum, as well as those that include a revolving cutting component (e.g., to cut the nasal cartilage) are also available.
