Special garments (e.g., neck bands, neck wraps, vests, ponchos) worn by persons working in the operating room to lower the body temperature of the wearer. Some cooling garments connect to cooling units via hoses through which cooled water is circulated, while other cooling garments use cold packs (ice packs) that are placed into pockets inside the cooling garments to keep the wearer cool while allowing them to move about freely without being tethered to a cooling unit. Cooling garments serve to cool the operating room personnel and allow them to remain comfortable while working in operating rooms and other environments with higher room temperatures.
