  • Devices designed to permit the mixing (i.e., blending) of compressed medical gases achieving blend concentrations (i.e., proportions) appropriate for a particular application. Typically the proportioners receive pure gases from the hospital gas pipeline or from other compressed gas sources (e.g., cylinders). These proportioners are usually equipped with a pressure-regulating mechanism and connectors for the primary gas sources and also for delivering of the blended gas.
