Hematology reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of a sample of body fluids (typically blood) to determine one of the substances that are present before thrombin is biologically available in blood. Increased levels of these substances are used as molecular markers of thrombosis; they are present in disorders such as deep venous thrombosis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and pulmonary emboli. Thrombosis markers can provide specific data for early diagnosis and management of coagulation disorders.
