Microbiology reagents used to assess the susceptibility of fungi and/or yeast to antifungal agents (e.g., polyene macrolide antibiotics). Most susceptibility tests are based on the determination of the minimum concentration at which there is no visible growth of the fungi (i.e., minimum inhibitory concentration [MIC]) in a dilution. Tests for fungi/yeast susceptibility are similar to those performed to determine bacteria susceptibility.
