Laboratory carts designed to transport small containers with strong acids and/or alkalis, providing ready access and facilitating their manipulation. They may also include a working surface (e.g., the top of the cabinet) intended to perform laboratory procedures. These carts typically include an open or closed shelf metallic structure with shelves with an acid, alkali, and heat resistant finish (e.g., phenolic boards with melamine laminate cover) which permits an ease of cleaning. Acid/alkali resistant laboratory carts are used mainly in clinical laboratories, but they may be used to store and/or manipulate chemical products in dental and ophthalmologic laboratories and/or in other workshops.
