Software designed to operate monitoring healthcare workstations. This software is used in medical monitoring kiosks to control/monitor a limited number of their functions, and/or process data and images obtained during a particular monitoring procedure. This software usually interacts with integral devices used in the procedure, such as measuring instruments and monitors. It may also perform a variety of algorithms to facilitate the operation and analysis of the measured data. Monitoring kiosk workstation management software is intended to work only with one or a few models of workstations and related devices, usually supplied by the same manufacturer, facilitating the processing and/or sending of data from the workstation to and from hospital information systems. The software is not usually available separately from the kiosk workstation but may be updated (i.e., through the release of modified versions) during the life of the equipment. Dedicated monitoring kiosk workstation management software may be intended for a specific diagnosis.
