Supporting structures (i.e., docks) designed to facilitate connectivity and automated charging of the internal rechargeable batteries of powered carts used in healthcare facilities. These docks (also known as docking stations) typically consist of a structure made of metal, hard plastic, or a combination of these that is usually plugged to an electric outlet (e.g., on a wall) and can be connected cordlessly on the opposite side to carts that include appropriate connectors. The docks facilitate the connectivity and/or provide means to recharge the internal batteries of carts while docked. Powered cart docks/battery chargers are used for a variety of healthcare carts, including ultrasonic procedure and crash carts.
