  • Simulators designed for training in laparoscopic surgical procedures. These simulators typically include a human anatomic model of the torso that is made of plastics, metal, or a combination of these and a central computerized unit located on an adjustable-height table or cart. The equipment simulates the conditions for abdominal minimally invasive operating conditions by providing the anatomic model of the torso with a great number of openings with grommets that can hold trocars located in the appropriate positions, laparoscopic equipment such as insufflators and laparoscopes, surgical instruments, cameras, and video monitors.
