Environmental monitors designed to measure and display the concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) vapors. These monitors typically include a hydrogen peroxide sensor (e.g., electrochemical) that may be disposable, a main control and display unit; the monitors usually include local and/or remote alarms activated at a pre-fixed concentrations (e.g., 1.0 or 5.0 ppm). Some monitors may include a central area monitor and several remote sensors to measure and record the H2O2 concentrations in the vecinity of each sterilizer that uses this compound. Oxygen peroxide environmental monitors are used mostly for continuous or periodic monitoring in hospital sterilizing rooms.
