Equipment designed to manufacture three-dimensional objects by laying down layers of material following a computerized process. This equipment may perform the manufacturing process using one of a variety of technologies (e.g., material extrusion, photopolymerization, material jetting, binder jetting). Healthcare equipment using additive manufacturing technology (also known as 3-D printing) is used in the production of a variety of orthopedic and other implants (e.g., cardiac, urinary bladder). Some machines are intended for in-situ manufacturing of skin grafts.
