  • Power systems designed for use as a source of electric and/or mechanical power to dental handpieces and/or other powered devices used in endodontic procedures. These systems usually consist of a main unit that provides electrical and/or mechanical power using a motor to detachable handpieces, both rotatory and reciprocating, that can drive dedicated endodontic instruments such as saws, burs, and blades, and a power switch (e.g., a foot-pedal).
