Molecular assay reagents intended to identify gene variants associated with cardiac arrhythmias, a collection of conditions involving irregularities in rhythm of electrical impulses controlling myocardial contraction. Irregularities may cause the heart to beat too quickly, too slowly, or erratically. Genetic variants at multiple loci have been associated with various forms of arrhythmia. These reagents are intended to detect various types of genetic changes (e.g., deletions, duplications, insertions, single nucleotide polymorphisms) in multiple arrhythmia-associated loci simultaneously.
