Multimodal assay reagents intended to detect gene anomalies (i.e., mutations) in specific genes by DNA sequence analysis; determine the presence, levels, and/or sub-cellular localization of specific analytes (e.g., carbohydrates, lipids, proteins) by immunoassay and/or immunocytochemistry/immunohistochemistry; and detect markers of microbial infection using serologic assays. These multimodal assays incorporate the results of these tests into a predetermined algorithm that produces a score intended to aid in clinicians in determining disease diagnosis, prognosis, and/or treatment options.
