Mobile liquid waste disposal aspirators that are intended to collect, contain, and allow disposal of liquid waste via connection to a dedicated liquid waste-disposal unit. These aspirators usually consist of a powered vacuum pump, a regulator and gauge, one or more collection canisters, and an interface that allows connection of the aspirator to a liquid waste-disposal unit. These aspirators are typically mounted on small wheels (i.e., casters) to allow the aspirator unit to be moved between surgical sites (e.g., operating rooms) and to the location of the waste-disposal unit. Some aspirators incorporate a smoke evacuator to collect smoke generated during surgical procedures (e.g., electrocautery procedures).
