Guide wires designed to provide access to the urinary tract and facilitate passage/placement and exchange of instrumentation or devices (e.g., stents) during urological procedures. These guide wires are intended to provide transurethral and/or percutaneous access into the bladder, ureter or renal pelvis. They are available in a variety of configurations that include different sizes (lengths and diameters), core materials, tip designs, coatings (e.g., hydrophilic, polytetrafluoroethylene [PTFE]), and stiffness.
