?:abstract
  • We recently read the research letter \'Enhanced expression of ACE2 in psoriatic skin and its upregulation in keratinocytes by interferon-gamma: Implication of inflammatory milieu in skin tropism of SARS-CoV-2\' by Tembhre and colleagues with great interest. In their manuscript, the authors describe that while the expression patterns of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) and other SARS-CoV-2 co-factors have been characterized in the skin during homeostatic conditions, they have not been examined in the state of pathogenic inflammation.
