Despite sufficient evidence that COVID-19 is more mild in children than in adult polymorbid patients, in april this year information began to appear on the increased number of paediatric patients presenting to a physicians with fever and developing shock Due to the ongoing SARS--CoV-2 pandemic and the evidence of exposure or overcoming the disease in patients with shock, a new clinical condition was associated with this infection The paediatric inflammatory multisystem syndrome temporarily associated with COVID-19 represents a new clinical entity in patients of the paediatric population Its presence was detected early in the European and North American paediatric populations We summarize the data published so far in the presented work
