Alarms designed to activate audible (i.e., sound) and/or visual alarms when a central gas system feature (e.g., line, outlet) is outside predetermined operating characteristics. These devices typically consist of an independent electronic unit, sensors, amplifiers, level controls, and visual displays and/or audible warnings that may be located at the site and/or in a central station. Dedicated area alarms for central gas systems are used to warn users of abnormal conditions such as pressure values and oxygen depletion.
