  • Cast saws driven by pneumatic power designed to cut casts. These saws are powered instruments with a pneumatic motor, a mechanism to drive the blade, and a hose connected to the pressurized gas source. Pneumatic cast saws are usually available as handheld instruments and, less frequently, as stationary tabletop devices; oscillating or reciprocating saws are used to cut casts without damaging the patient\'s body.
