Intestinal surgical clamps designed for the atraumatic grasping or compression of the rectum and/or anal canal during open-surgery procedures. These clamps are typically handheld, manual instruments including two parts pivoted at the center with a size appropriate for the manipulation of the rectum; the instruments usually include long, serrated, straight, right-angled, or curved distal blades and appropriate handles. Dedicated rectum clamps are available for resection and/or anastomosis.
