Reusable cubicle curtains are intended to partition off an area (i.e., form a cubicle). They are used in many areas of healthcare facilities such as holding areas, preparation areas, procedure areas, overflow areas, examination rooms, patient rooms, and inventory areas. They are designed to block out light and/or provide privacy by keeping people outside the curtain from being able to see inside. These curtains usually consist of a piece of fabric hung from a ceiling track. Cubicle curtains are manually or power operated; they can come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials (e.g. cotton, polyester, nylon, vinyl). Fire-retardant, tear and mildew-resistant, and liquid-repellant cubicle curtains are available. Reusable cubicle curtains are able to withstand institutional laundering.
