Pumps designed to transfer or deliver fluids (gas and/or liquid) to support environmental conditions and/or to perform specific tasks required in clinical laboratories and associated procedures. A wide variety of laboratory pumps use many different technologies (e.g., peristalsis, centrifuges); pumps are usually made of metal alloys, plastics, or a combination of materials. Some pumps provide additional features such as temperature control and/or vacuum capabilities. Dedicated laboratory pumps are available to perform specific procedures such as the transfer of highly corrosive products (e.g., acids), chromatography, filtering, and solvent recovery.
