Regulators designed to reduce the output pressure of gases stored in high-pressurized gas containters (e.g., medical gas cylinders) to provide a controlled pressure (typically 50psi/3.5bar) and flow rate appropriate for delivering gases to patients. These regulators include controllers and may also include a manometer to measure the output pressure of the gases. High-pressure gas regulators are placed between the output port of the high-pressure gas container at one end and the patient breathing circuit at the other end. The regulators are mainly used for delivery of respiratory (e.g., oxygen) and anesthetic gases at an appropriate pressure.
