Simulators designed to mimic temperatures in the range of normal and abnormal human body variations. These simulators typically include heating and cooling devices, a chamber for the device or probe being tested, controls, and a high-accuracy thermometer. The temperature may be adjusted in a continuous range (e.g., 0 to 100 degrees C) or at preestablished fixed values. Temperature simulators are used to test and/or calibrate thermometers and temperature monitors and recorders.
