Abnormal Muscle Biopsy, Inflammatory: Muscle biopsy shows degeneration of both Type I and Type II fibers (especially perifascicular), regeneration, mononuclear cell inflammatory infiltrate, internal migration of nuclei, vacuolization, and variation in cross-sectional fiber size. The presence of inclusion bodies suggest a steroid-unresponsive variant called Inclusion Body Mositis.
