  • refers to one of two spinocerebellar tracts. It arises in the lower lumbar segments of the spinal cord and ascends in the contralateral lateral white column. In the medulla the tract projects into the cerebellum via the inferior cerebellar peduncle and terminates in the anterior lobe of the cerebellum ( Carpenter-1983; Paxinos-2004 ). It includes the ventral spinocerebellar tract of the spinal cord, the ventral spinocerebellar tract of the medulla and the ventral spinocerebellar tract of the cerebellum. The other spinocerebellar tract is the dorsal spinocerebellar tract.
