  • Automation systems designed to provide and control medicine distribution throughout a healthcare facility. These systems typically consist of a combination of hardware and software that includes an appropriate server and a set of computerized medication-dispensing cabinets located in patient care areas and/or nurse stations. The systems can accommodate oral medicines (solid or liquid), ophthalmic drops, prefilled syringes, and topical preparations; they may be interfaced with pharmacy automation systems and/or with the hospital information system to provide complete medication management.
