  • Chair scales that include a precise and accurate weighing mechanism for measuring total weight, and, usually, weight variations, during the dialysis procedure. These scales typically include a horizontal platform that is placed on the floor, a chair for the patient, and a vertical column with measuring, control, and/or display capabilities; some other scales consist of a weighing frame attached between the legs and the caster of a conventional dialysis chair, as well as a separate display unit.
