Intrathecal spinal catheters used for continuous or repeated injection of local anesthetics into the subarachnoid space to anesthetize sensory nerves from the lower limbs, pelvis, or abdomen. These catheters are used in surgical procedures and sometimes may also be used for diagnostic or temporary relief of chronic pain of the limbs, pelvis, abdomen, or lumbar spine.
