  • Vascular catheters designed to perform embolectomy/thrombectomy procedures using an inflatable balloon at their distal tips. They are introduced into a vessel (i.e., artery, vein) and passed as far as possible through the embolus and/or thrombus; the balloon is inflated and then withdrawn, bringing out the clot with it.
