Cardiac catheters designed for intracardial recording of the electrical activity of the heart (i.e., cardiac electrophysiology). These catheters usually consist of a 7 or 8 Fr flexible plastic tube including a multielectrode distal tip; they may include a variety of curve types, spacings, and numbers of electrodes. Electrophysiology cardiac catheters are used to evaluate symptoms (e.g., complex arrhythmias), assess risks, and design treatments.
