Biliary catheters designed to retrieve foreign bodies (e.g., catheter tips, guide wire fragments, stents, other debris) and gallstones from the biliary tree or pancreatic ducts. Several different catheters are used for retrieval, including loop snare, helical basket, hooked, grasping forceps, and balloon tipped. These catheters are used for recuperation of foreign bodies and gallstones using percutaneous techniques that obviate the need for surgical removal.
