Stage IIA includes: For squamous cell carcinoma: (T2-3, N0, M0, G1, GX, Tumor location: Upper, middle); (T2-3, N0, M0, G2-3, Tumor location: Lower, X). For adenocarcinoma: (T2, N0, M0, G3). T2: Tumor invades muscularis propria. T3: Tumor invades adventitia. N0: No regional lymph node metastasis. M0: No distant metastasis. G1: Well differentiated. GX: Grade cannot be assessed-stage grouping as G1. G2: Moderately differentiated. G3: Poorly differentiated.
